Not sure.... but this piece looks very 'asian' to me.... and the marks do too ...
maybe someone else could be more helpful...

The right hand marking is very interesting looking ...... is that a stylised F with a dot?
As tim says .... a close up of the marks is needed....

Try drawing on a piece of paper & photographing that - I have found that helpful

dusting talc or pencil can help a mark look clearer for a photo...both of course wash off ..so no harm done Smile

Ok figured it out. Its the mark for Wenford Bridge Pottery. Now all you need to do if figure out which potter there made it and mystery solved.

Yeah he sounds like an interesting guy - might just do that! Since checking out some of his stuff and his fathers pots I reckon I have a cuople of others - could be my new thing!!!
