That pot is cool, I have ones like it in my Doris Dutch book, a great find!!!!! Damn I should get out more often and find these pieces

The thing about op shops is almost always the pieces are small. Only at the auctions can you get those big cool pots !!! I once bought a huge floor pot by Paul Tobin at Webbs for $100.......Shino glazed, wood fired in Warren Tippett's kiln. And here is is. The other pot I got yesterday......no marks on it..don't know who made it.

This has to be my best find to date..... a Peter Stichbury lampbase for $18 ... they thought it was a wine bottle with a hole in it

Picked up a nice chunk of Kauri Gum for $3 yesterday, I have a salt glazed Barry Brickell bowl I keep all the gum in...Gum is pretty soft so wont scratch the glaze at all.
