Thought it was love at first sight....
Well, I headed off to the op shop thismorning like a trooper, on foot, in the rain.....and our eyes met across the crowded room....
He was hanging out all aloof on the top shelf over on the far wall, with the uglies that have lived there for months, and my eyes lit up...my stomache did flippy floppies, and I made a run for him.....
...but alas, when did someone start making copies??!
This looks new, has made in Aotearoa, has brilliant pristine new ceramic unsullied bottom, has squeaky clean new cork stopper......smells vaguely of kahlua! "sigh" ''
But what the hell, for $4 he will do until I can find the real thing

Re: Thought it was love at first sight....
Actually I was just talking about this with another member this morning ...she said she had looked at Studio Ceramics medium swans and flora and fauna plates ...
I wonder if they also did these versions... they seem to have a lot of old moulds...
very interesting ...

Re: Thought it was love at first sight....
This looks like one of the replica ones floating around. We got one of these first and then upgraded to a couple real ones. We had a good look at our and the replica is only 25cm tall while the other two are 31cm high. When they it next to each other its easy to spot the replica but on there own it not that obvious.
The base on our ones say Protperty of Ti Toki Co Auckland Made in New Zealand and the number is scratched over this. I have taken a photo so hopefully it will load up. Well it was only $4 but its still something nice to look at, we still have our one and we paid $14 so yours ws a bargain.
