Hi Guys
I know I must get a copy of the new book on NZ Pottery Marks, but just for now can anyone help me with an ID for this Jug/Vase.

Here are links to some photos

New Zealand Pottery help with ID Empty Help with these ramekins please

Post  funho1 Sun Nov 02, 2008 2:27 pm

Great soup ramekins purchased in 70's somewhere in Auckland. Can anyone tell us who the potter was ?? We still have 5 out of the 6; must get around to using them more often.

Those are Simon Engelhard pots. He was an Auckland potter who came out here from Europe to work at Crown Lynn, but didn't get the job in the end due to something or other...Anyway he then worked with Adrian Cotter learning stoneware. Still lives in Auckland as far as I know. Not potting anymore

CL's loss I would say, they are great. Got your wish-list finalised for Cordy's ? There are some nice Smisek pieces there. But I dare not start another collection ..... Cheers Peter

And here is a nice Linnware - Southy Africa - vase I am trying to bid on by remote control. Cheers again.
