Very Happy repeating things a bit here from the crown lynn animal section but NOTE: trademe auction #191786744 this is an even better example with the "made in new Zealand" stamp and painted with tucedo suit, looks 1980's?? measurements are the same.

crown lynn frog

It turns out that this frog is in fact not 1980's but most likely earler. The rubber type of plug has to be the first clue, then the crasing and basicness of the mould, it's not unlike some of the eggcup series that were produced during the late 30's but i'd say most likely this one is from around 60-70's, the "kermit the frog" styles we see were most likely re-vamped moulds, produced and painted with eyes and cloths in the 1980's, also there are small firing flaws which indercate the experimental aspect of this frog, really keen to know if anyone else has one of these??
