Want to rummage through a skip bin of NZ studio pottery

Post  samski on Thu Feb 26, 2009 8:02 pm

If anyone is interested, there is a skip bin outside the Forrest Hill Hospice shop that is full of stuff including lots of NZ studio pottery (and also lots of retro wooden bowls and platters). I wonder how many Len Castle pin dishes there are in there? Maybe someone from the Forum could give them a call and ask to have a look through - it would be nice if any "finds" were posted on the forum! - (and any of the said pin dishes set aside for the bearer of this news - yours truly!)

Seems a waste for this all to be dumped! Be quick I imagine the skip will be going today.

The Skip

Post  samski on Mon Mar 02, 2009 6:29 am

Hi
Yep it has gone. Try the Dump instead! But there is another one at hospice that they are filling up with junk - don't think there is any pottery in it- but you never know.

They can be quite ruthless ehh... I've pulled an amazinjg victorian hand stiched shirt out of the skip once... it would have been tragic to see that dumped!
