DC logo on Crown Lynn plate - advertising ware
we've been racking our brains to try and figure out what the DC stands for on this crown Lynn Plate, anyone know?? tried a lot of googling too but no luck!!!

Crown Lynn produced masses of tablewares for all sorts of businesses, trusts, hotels, colleges, liscensing trusts, councils as well as government (NZR and so on). It must have been relatively easy money for them as all you had to do was stick a transfer on the piece and bingo - special peronalized dinner ware.
Here's a piece coming up in Jim's auction that has samples of some logos that they did. I presume that the plate was used as a sample to show to clients what they could produce for them.
