I'm not sure if you can see it clearly but there are a ring of korus around the top... I wouldnt imagine they were Japanese

hiya webgrl ...I had yours on my watchlist.... was wanting to see if anyone knew anything about it ...
Mine are covered in a layer of dirt from being used as planters...will give them a soak and get back to you if I can find any funny inside marks

Old Clay
I agree with the Old clay comment, mine was chipped on the edge and had a definite old clay look. Mine also appeared to have a wedge of glazed clay in the inner base with a mark. All very exciting!! Would love to know who made them.
