LC mark help please
Have a pottery decanter with goblets impressed with an L sitting to the left of and intersecting the middle of a slightly lower C. These are within a tear drop. It could also be an L with an E. Any ideas? Not in my Coates book and prob not Len's work. Has anyone got the new NZ marks book yet? I bought one off TM today and am too impatient to wait!!!

Re: LC mark help please
Hi Ginger
Well done with getting the photos sorted...
The mark you describe sounds exactly like Bruce Lissant-Clayton...an excellent potter.
I think there is a photo of his mark already on the site - but I can't find it.
Jo might know where it is - as she was the one that asked who the mark belonged to ....

Opps should have remembered that one... lol
I'll move this over to the pottery identification section and when I find the lissant-clyaton wall bottle pic again...I'll add the link... can't seem to track it down at the moment ..sorry guys
Thanks for your help
My book has arrived and the mark is Lissant-Clayton of Nelson. Can highly recommend this book as a handy ref tool.
