the long spouty thing is a ceramic watering can, form & decor by Kristiane Werner, ceramic by KMK Kupfermuhle Keramik of Hohenlockstedt (their factory as about 6 clicks from here), it is decor Mephisto.

Those colours (please don't ask me to repeat those long unpronounceable - to me - words ) LOL.... are stunning. So eyecatchingly different!

How DO you cope with all that 'dusting' and cleaning of all those treasures? 500 more pots.....That's just 50 or less soujournes to garage sales:-) Easy peasy! Then you need a bigger house!!!

Sorry for the delay in any replies, but I'm not the best at 'driving' just yet still (as Jo will tell you) as I keep losing postings etc.!!! There's hope for me yet! Sad eh! Embarassed lol!

I'm more interested in who made it though....
as the style looks very familiar.

Do you know Tim...does this work have a name? like a series or something as its quite hrrm rustic looking....for Len Castle ehh.,..? ...from my limited knowledge anyway...

There are 2 in the first LC book under the heading "Hand Modelled Textured Forms" and its just called a vase, its stoneware with an ochre or umber pigment.

Some of the vases are call grass pots or something....never owned one so not too sure.

I found a great book yesterday too...for $2 ... it was on a Italian Memphis designer "Ettore Sottsass - Ceramics"

It has a Dymocks $195 price sticker on the back!...so I paid really quickly and left Embarassed

I've got a pile of books to catch up on now....got to find the time ... clown
