Re: Maori Art Bottle
Thanks Jan, I will wait until you find the relevant paperwork re the potter.
The artist who made the initial mould did a brilliant job!
If you want to ask questions on here it is very simple -
go to the topic that you want to post a question in -
at the top is the New Topic icon click on that and fire away
then press send at the bottom when you have finished.
Good luck Ev

Hi, havnt foundthing yet. Have it somewhere. Question on easy access though.
If I have some peices I want identifying. How do I 'upload' or attach to my profile so people can view. ?? The message I get when trying to start my own photo folder is I am not allowed. Will keep looking and playing around with site. Thanks. Will be back to you asap.

Hiya Jan
Uploading photos - if you need help just message me if you like ... 1st step is as ev said..register with www.servimg.com (the servimg site will save your photos to show on this site)...sounds complicated but quite easy once you get the knack...any problems just yell out.

I wonder if Parker Pottery copied Crown Lynn? or Vice versa? any numbers to the base of yours ...or just Parker Pottery?
They sure look similar...perhaps Parker Pottery has the moulds?

hehe I must have Tim's eyesight then...I've been flicking back and forth between the two of them and I thought they were the same mould...just a different photo angle ???
whats everyone else think?
Re: Maori Art Bottle

whoops !
I was looking at the wrong face of ev's bottle. Apologies to tim - it does look same.
I heard that someone has some or many or all of the Wharetana moulds - that might explain it.

Re: Maori Art Bottle
Hi again, lovely to hear about the bottle. I am sure it was made by John Parker (or he had the moulds) from McLeod Road in Henderson.

Re: Maori Art Bottle
The bottle/flask has on the base:
New Zealand
Lincoln Wines
Parker Pottery
There are no numbers.....
I emailed Lincoln Wines and they replied saying that Norman Parker from Henderson
made the bottles in the 1990's and they contained Port and Kiwifruit Liqueur.
Have you ever heard of a Norman Parker Jan?
Or is that who you meant in your last post?
John Parker is a very well known and respected studio potter.....

Re: Maori Art Bottle
There are at least 2 John Parker's who are potters in Auckland. Well just one now, but there were 2. Looks like there might have been a third?
