very interested to hear from anyone who has a crown lynn elephant, I brought this one from trade me it was advertised as new condition, clearly he has some age to him going by the flet cloth on the base, I removed a section of felt on one leg to expose the clay not blue mountain, the base appears to be cut across like the crown lynn ones are, stands 140cm high x 180cm long

I will look a little more into it, but I have seen Titian vases unmarked come and go looking like BMP. Aquila ceramics had thier figures come out with the felty stuff on the base of thier animals, so there could very well be a conection. I dont think its Crown Lynn, but could very well be related in some way. I will do some homework and get back to you as soon as I can.

trickle glaze elephant Empty yeah I spotted him

Post  shazz Sat Dec 13, 2008 8:41 am

hes certainly a loverly looking elephant. I noticed the P.1 vase too... as you can probably tell lol. Theres a few tabs at the top of this site, one says "gallery" if you click on it, the , amoungst others, the Titian gallery will come up, and if you click on the pansy, you should see all the titian Myself and some other members have at the moment... your P.1 vase will be there Wink Just a tip.. if you think it's Titian/ presleyware, take a look in the gallery.. not all the gallery photo's show on the side of the forum. sunny We are slowly adding to it because we dont have a numbers guide as yet, but most of the popular shapes are there. alien
