Crown Lynn "Seascape" Empty Crown Lynn "Seascape"

Post  Idontcareaboutpottery Fri Feb 27, 2009 9:08 pm

I have a beautiful set of Crown Lynn 'Seascape'. I acquired it (for free!) because I loved it, this was before I knew it was Crown Lynn or even what CL was. It occured to me later that it might be worth something and I should look after it. I am struggling to find any info about it at all though. Can anyone enlighten me? Someone suggested it was the last pattern produced before the factory closed....? Is this correct? Is there somewhere with a catalogue or a book or something also? I have taken a bit of a shining to CL now after discovering some at the opshop. Thought about starting a collection

Crown Lynn "Seascape" Empty welcome :D

there is a book out on the market, it quite often pops up on trademe. it's called "A New Zealand Icon" by Valerie Ringer Monk. It's full of info on Crown Lynn and thier tablewares.. it will most likely have the info your looking for as seascape is a popular pattern. I started off with Crown Lynn plates too.. infact the 1st item I picked up and saw "crown Lynn" on the back.. I thought it was british until my friend laughed at me hehe. Now I have a modest colection of Crown Lynn animals & vases and have moved up from plates Smile my fav pattern is "bluebridge" I still have a nice sized portion of Blue bridge, but have sold of all the others for room lol
Very Happy
