I'm quite interested to put together additions to the
current Crown Lynn shape guide that I run on my site as a resource...
I will probably add a Titian page next and was thinking I might also add a Crown Lynn tableware guide...
Does anyone have any suggestions about what they might find helpful as a resource for collectors in the future...
please post any ideas you have here ...

Re: I'm quite interested to put together additions to the
Kiwiana has a Crown Lynn patterns page......
but there are heaps more that are not on there....
Then there is the Kelston and Avondale ranges of patterns....
endless info that should be kept somewhere for all time I think.
Yes the Titian page is a must .....
even if Crown Lynn made some of it for a time too

Re: I'm quite interested to put together additions to the
yeah but I'm not sure anything is being added to that Kiwiana site these days...
I've sent several emails to the owner with no reply?....
....the basic premise behind the site in my opinion was great but the pictures were just taken from TM which I personally thought was fundamentally wrong. I actually complained about having my photos there and asked for them to be withdrawn...the owner then realised it was an issue and apologised -which was all good....but since then I haven't noticed any additions to the site. I also have issues with the values placed on items ...because some are wayyy off...but anyway sorry I'm not trying to trash the other site -
I'd just like to make sure this forum respects copyright of photos and all those issues surrounding permissions. Also I'm keen to broaden the gallery/resource information we can offer as a group because I think that will also help us to generate a much bigger membership base. That's why its important that everyone makes a small contribution - whether that be photos...comments...discussions....every small thing helps.

Re: I'm quite interested to put together additions to the
The kiwiana site hasn't been touched since the big blow up on tm....
when she attributed photos to the members whose photos she had used etc... eg shazz
I sent her several to use as I agree that the idea is splendid ...
but they have never been added.
Anyway I think that it is a grand idea to start one of your own Jo
all above board with no copywrite worries....
like the one you already have up and running

Re: I'm quite interested to put together additions to the
Studio Potters Marks and major examples of their style of work....some guy attempted it a while ago but thats gone to dust. Oh yeah and bios on the potters as just having a name and a mark is a bit shallow on the info side of things.

We have already had an request for dinner set id from a member so I think that is a great resource to have - dinnersets were literally the bread and butter of crown lynn (???)
