Unidentified Kiwi Bird Empty Unidentified Kiwi Bird

Hello all,
Aquired this ceramic Kiwi bird about a year ago, and it is about 4 inches long and 3 inches high.
On the bottom of one of its feet is an inscribed mark which looks like KB or KM.
Was it made in New Zealand and by whom?

I don't recognise the kiwi - according to a NZ pottery marks book I just looked at - "KM" might be Kath Mason though - but I'm not familiar with her work. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this ...
