Hail and Flowers Boot.... Empty Hail and Flowers Boot....

Post  collectiques Wed Mar 25, 2009 3:53 pm

I've seen a few pieces lately on Trademe listed as Milton ... with hail and flowers...

it's made me wonder - were there other manufacturers who used the hail and flowers decor?

I found this boot a few weeks back...any ideas on it?

Hail and Flowers Boot.... Empty hail and flowers

Jo, I believe that lots of Victorian English potteries used the hail tecnique, the flowers on Milton are from what I understand more 'realistic'. Perhaps though on a small item such as a show/boot they modellers would have been less concerned...

I tend to agree Ross ...the flowers seem a little plain/crude...

Thanks for your comments Very Happy
