Can you help ID my waka??
I picked this up a few weeks ago & I see quite a few of you were on my TM listing, so I just wondered if anyone had any ideas who made this? Would be interested to know your thoughts. It looks to be made from terracotta & has no markings but it seems similar to the Titian one...maybe not so detailed, I don't know as I haven't seen a Titian one up close & the photos on the Kiwiana site are too small.

Re: Can you help ID my waka??
Hi golden kiwi
I really want a titian waka ..... preferably brown..
the titian backstamp is S104...
Your one looks like it is made from a titian mould...
which makes me wonder who salvaged the titian moulds ?
Also the strange rusty coloured markings intrigue me...
to me they look like the low 'straw fired' ware that is seen from time to time on tm...
There are some very well informed collectors on this site -
so hopefully someone can answer the questions about your waka
Good luck - Ev
