Time to step up People
2009 is the year of discovery, so it's time to step up people and make a discovery to share with everyone. I'm already looking, if we all share then you too can go to Disneyland Dorothy !

as far as stats go though...stats are great...lots of reading going on

Re: Time to step up People
The best way to get the best knowledge is to contribute........just reading is only going to get the sanitized version, the one sided version, the wrong version.......

Re: Time to step up People
I tend to agree Tim...I know if I've participated in a conversation I always seem to remember more of it
Re: Time to step up People
It helps refresh the memory, makes it search for more, redefines ideas, and gives a more considered view....may be a complete turn around if your lucky!

Re: Time to step up People
The new book coming out soon...Cone 10 Down is something that I have been waiting for for some time now, it should have lots of new stuff, and a must read. No doubt there will be controversial opinions, but that's what we want right?

RE: Time to step up people
Hi everyone. Yes I like the idea of sharing our knowledge about the wonderful pottery we have in New Zealand. I live in the Far North and am lucky to have several pieces of the late Toby Staffords pottery. I have made a couple of trips out to the pottery that is now run by Bridget. She is making alot of pottery using the moulding method. She has been able to continue the use of the distictive blue and green glazes that give her work such a stand out appeal. Also lucky to be able to visit Fern Flat pottery
and view and purchase the work of Marg and Rod Davies. They are doing new items now Taipa Piper (fish) being a new big seller. Worth the trip every time.

Awesome Vicky - if you get time take some photos and we can start a topic in the studio potters section - I don't think either of those potters are covered yet ...so would be great to see some pics
Re: Time to step up people
Thanks for your reply. I will get some photos up soon. Bye for now.
