Admin edit: There is still some debate over which egg cups are and are not crown lynn - I'm merging the egg cup topics back together again and you can make your own decisions via debate as to authenticity if you would like to.

We think that the Rabbits are likely to be Royal Art Pottery.

Krystal24 found "old king Cole" and "little Bo Peep" on an overseas site as English egg cups.

Wow, this has been a really eye opening discussion.

I've got quite a large collection of eggcups gathered over the years and the "which are Crown Lynn, and which are not" issue has always puzzled me and I've seen many advertised in the past as Crow Lynn that aren't.

I've always liked the Nursery Rhyme ones and while I'm dissapointed they are not Crown Lynn, I still really like them as objects and they were all sub $2 buys..

I've also had a quick look at ebay in the "Egg cup" section and a number of the disputed ones show up with UK Sellers which I think is further evidence.

ie. RedRiding Hood & Wolf.
http://cgi.ebay.ie/Gorgeous-Vintage-Little-Red-Riding-Hood-Wolf-Egg-Cup_W0QQitemZ220224813866QQihZ012QQcategoryZ14898QQcmdZViewItem

The "Monkey Head" one I've still not seen mentioned and that always seems to have a CL atribution.

Floppy Ears is right there next to Green Bunny! As I said the two rabbits, the three squirrels and the red dog are Royal Art Pottery. The rabbits have the mark on the base and the red dog i picked up off a UK dealers site describing it as Royal Art.

3 of the Egg Cups + the Rabbit & Basket are on display at the Auckland Museum section on NZ Design. (If you havn't been its well worth visiting, in addition to the CL, Titan etc. they
have so much lovely studio work on display as well)

I actually wonder having seen it up close if the Rabbit & Basket is actually an Egg Cup or a small posy holder, the basket didn't appear to have an opening that is "egg holding shaped" - its more rectanglar than round...
