Small collection of William Speer
A few examples of his work .I was never sure on the coloured one .But some people from the Auckland museum bought the other 2 I had ,

oh I like that...can you give us a bit of background on William Speer? I don't anything about him...
A bit of background on william
He started of working for royal doulton. Arrived in NZ in 1921,started of making flower and chimmney pots for the Hill brothers.
moved to Auckland and worked with the gardener brothers and also spent time advising Briar Gardener.
Spent time with Crum also and others which I can't remember at this time.Then set up in Brunner.
He did quite a bit with differnt clays producing agate wares.Most of his work is unmarked.
There is a couple of pages on him in Gail henry's book.
