Crown Lynn Animals
There were quite a wide range of animals produced - feel free to post any photos with model numbers and lets see if we can start to compile a database model numbers and shapes.

*the* Crown Lynn character dog
I think these are just fantastic! probably because to date, this is the only one out of the various ones in this range that I have lol. These one came with the Crown Lynn back stamps and some just have the impressed numbers "178" these also come in varying colours as you can see in this photo, unfortunatly I only have 2. They measure 18 cm's in height and 12 cm's long (from butt to front paw)

The stunning Crown Lynn kingfisher
I LOVE the colours on these beauties. They come in a variety of glazes and colour, sometimes just in plain white, sometimes nice and glossy, sometimes a matt finish and sometimes companied with a float bowl as they are flower frogs. Marked to the base with the Crown Lynn back stamp, and sometimes just the impressed numbers "181" measuring 15 cm's in height and 9 cm's in length.

Crown Lynn parrot.
This is another of my fav's.. these come in variuos colours aswell, also in plain white. sometimes marked to the base with the Crown Lynn back stamps, sometimes unmarked - this one has the Crown Lynn sticker on the tree stump. Im unsure of the numbers of these and I have only ever had them with the backstamps or the unmarked/stickered version. Measureing 16 cm's in height X 8 cm's in leangth.

Very graceful Crown Lynn swans
These some in different sizes large "170" (170 also come in a different shape, with the neck being fully attached to the body) or "2066" , Medium (unknown) and small "154" or "2065" Sometimes just numbers, sometimes both numbers and the Crown Lynn back stamps. They come in various colors like white, cream, black, white with painted beak, white with gold beak, lustre and an asortment of trickle glazes usually fraction marked.

Unmarked Crown Lynn gun dogs
I was always sceptical about this specific pair as the have no markings and a wide open base - however a pair of these came up for auction some time ago, and it was mentioned by a very serious NZ pottery collector that these are infact Crown Lynn. They are very similar to the retrievers in size and shape.

Re: Crown Lynn Animals
I wonder if the pair of dogs might be No.172 then...I was given a list of Crown Lynn animal numbers some years ago by Jeff in Timaru...he has some of the original pattern books...so the reference should be pretty spot on.
Re: Crown Lynn Animals
I copied the info from that auction because I felt it was important. I can't not say whom stated it because I dont have permision, but I can say that it was said there was 3 versions of these, #168, #172 and an open base version (this one). there was more information in the auction, but I feel awkward posting it as I didnt type it lolcollectiques wrote:I wonder if the pair of dogs might be No.172 then...I was given a list of Crown Lynn animal numbers some years ago by Jeff in Timaru...he has some of the original pattern books...so the reference should be pretty spot on.
