Found this link to a pdf file a few days ago, lots of good photos, and a bit of text, about 2mb in size. A good resource on Hamada.

Well the best way is to get as many images of his work as possible....that's what I'm doing. Even if they are written in Japanese.......

Hey guys check out this auction on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=120320856593

I bought 3 of these at the local market this year, $2 each. They are copies sold in a Japanese restaurant given to patrons as they leave. The restaurant serves its meals on Mashiko Hamada styled ceramics.

Here are my ones

Well I guess I can't be sure, but just looking at real Hamada pots, these ones are perhaps too perfectly made, and the brown is too refined and pure.

Hey 42 is heaps....multiplies that by 3 in head.....hmmm was a good day at the market.

I did add the link, but it looked so large and embarassing I removed it.

Thanks but I did a search and found it already Smile

To my humble eye you have a match..... cheers
the brushwork appears to be done by the same hand....
and it depends where the piece is in the kiln to get more gloss in the glaze ....
hotter becomes more glossier.
