...last lot for today...
Now apparently as sirod understands it the H was used for "Handwerk" for a Frank Carpay design but not decorated.
If anyone knows what the 'C' might stand for could you let us know please
I'd like to offer a huge thank you to sirod - I know it is a mammoth undertaking to photograph a large volume of pieces and must have taken considerable time. Thank you on behalf of all our members - it is very much appreciated
We need your help please ...
sirod has sent us 16 more Crown Lynn Hand Potted shapes
The following Crown Lynn Hand Potted shapes do not have incised shape marks
If you have the same shape with a mark or if you know what shape numbers the various hand potted shapes might be please contact us...
No shape no - Mystery 1

Some more photos and information from sirod
A summary of sirod's email to me earlier today....
Apparently "the earlier vases came in 3 sizes
Small approx 13cm
Medium approx 18cm
Large approx 23cm"
"Hand potted mostly produced in the creamy white glaze
But - a very small number were produced in colour glazes
Photo 2 Pale pink
Photo 3 Pale blue
Photo 4 Pale green"
Sirod mentions that she can not substantiate the above information but she used to chat to David Jenkins and he had mentioned that he thought there were no more than about 2000 hand potted pieces in total.
Perhaps someone else might have information on quantities they might be able to add?
Thanks once again sirod - I'm really hoping this information will prompt people to gather information they might know and contribute - so we can piece together a better picture of how the Crown Lynn hand potted range worked exactly

an update ...
I've updated the www.collectiques.co.nz/crownlynnhandpotted.htm layout so it should load a lot faster.
I've changed the focus slightly and renamed it the 'Crown Lynn Gallery'. Originally started for Crown Lynn hand potted, I've extended it to also include examples of work from Shufflebotham, Carpay, Steenstra and Smisek.
The new photo layout should cope with the extra photographic load much better as the site continues to grow.
